A PR hit that smoked holiday fluff

Pie might not be the only thing that's baked Thanksgiving Day

Coming to you early this holiday week in the U.S …

Turkey isn’t the only thing on the menu this Thanksgiving. Can’t forget the vegetables. Or should I say, vegetable-adjacent …

Wait — is weed a vegetable? Just trying to justify the funky leafy thing popping up at family gatherings.

The hit

I did a double-take when the cannabis and snack industries earned space from what could have been a typical Wall Street Journal Thanksgiving story.

The gist: half your guests could be high. Grandma’s gummy just kicked in. Everyone’s weirdly chill, even when Uncle Teddy tries to pick a political argument.

I never did the “cousins walk” because I didn’t have cousins my age. The older ones were probably half-baked, but I didn’t know any better. I was busy sneaking another glass of wine.

One of the best PR stories you’ll read this season

Cannabis fan or not, you have to give props to the snack and weed industries, including the Cannabis Media Council, that pushed the eleventy-millionth turkey prep story to the sidelines. And they finally answered the age-old adult question:  what do the cousins talk about during those long walks? Now we know.

Keep it spicy 🌶️

Burlap & Barrel wants your holiday meals loaded with flavor and people who rely on food pantries to have the same chance.

The New York City-based company sources spices from farms throughout the world to ensure “international spice supply chains are transparent and traceable.”

Buy a spice set for yourself, and Burlap & Barrel sends one to someone in need. Food pantries handle the basics. Spices make them special.

No matter where you are, take a minute to appreciate the little things. Thank YOU for reading.
